Belize, March 30, 2009. A high level delegation of the sugar sector in Belize visited Cuba between the 22 and the 25 of March. The visiting group was headed by Hon. Nemencio Acosta, Minister of State and President of the Sugar Industry Control Board of Belize. Also among the guests were 5 representatives of the sugar sector including Mr. Erik Ek, President of the Belize Sugar Association. During there stay in Havana, the delegation accomplished a tight working program that included the signing of 3 new contracts with the Cuban Enterprise Tecnoazucar for cooperation in the sugar industry. As part of this mutual collaboration, various business endeavors will be established for which a group of Cuban specialists will travel to Belize in the month of April. (Cubaminrex- Emabcuba Belice.)
