Barbadian Prime Minister to Visit Cuba

CUBA, May 10, 2009. David Thompson, Prime Minister of Barbados, will arrive in Cuba on Monday in an official visit, invited by the Cuban President, Raul Castro, said the Cuban media.

According to his agenda, Thompson will fulfill a wide program including official conversations with the Cuban President and tours to scientific, social and historical places of Cuba.

Thompson was born on December 25, 1961 in London, England, and he showed deep knowledge and dedication to the study of Caribbean topics, when he was a student.

In 1979, he started his Master in Laws and after five years he was graduated with honors.

As Prime Minister of Barbados, Thompson is also the Minister of Finances, International Economy and Development, Labour, Social Service and Energy.

He has given services to many Caribbean institutions. (Cubaminrex- PL)
