X Anniversary of the Comprehensive Health Program is celebrated in Belize
Belize, 29 of April, 2009. In an event celebrated at the Belize University, the Cuban Medical Team in Belize celebrated the X Anniversary of the Comprehensive Health Program in the country.
Speeches were made by Dr. Hubert Garcia; Head of the Cuban Medical Team, Manuel Rubido, Ambassador of Cuba and conclusions were done by Hon. Pablo Marin, Minister of Health of Belize. Also present were all the Cuban collaborators in the country, including those of the education and agriculture sectors and officials from all levels of the local Ministry of Health. Included also was the President of the Parents Association of Belizean students in Cuba, ELAM graduates and members of the association of Cuban Residents.
The event allowed for a review of the past ten years of work of the Cuban Medical Team and their future goals. Minister Marin thanked Cuba for this selfless collaboration and reassured his support. The Minister also delivered a recognition plaque for the government of Cuba to the Cuban Ambassador to Belize. (Cubaminrex- Embacuba Belice)
