During his Tuesday’s visit to Cuba, the Venezuelan head of state had lunch and spoke with the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, and he later met with his counterpart Raul Castro, with whom he spoke about the current state of cooperation ties between Havana and Caracas. The meetings took place in a friendly and fraternal environment, in accordance with the excellent state of bilateral relations between the peoples and governments of the two countries. Chavez and Raul also discussed topics of international interest and, particularly, they spoke about the upcoming summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of the Americas (ALBA), scheduled for next month in the Cuban capital.
