HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 23 (acn) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla met on Friday with his Belizean counterpart Wilfred Elrington, who arrived in Havana yesterday for an official visit to the Caribbean nation. During the official talks at the headquarters of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, both diplomats analyzed the development of bilateral relations, which they described as excellent. Rodriguez Parrilla noted that cooperation plans between Cuba and Belize are on the right track and that they will be boosted by this visit of the Belizean foreign minister, who will preside over his country’s delegation to the 12th Cuba-Belize Intergovernmental Meeting. The Cuban official thanked the visitor for his country’s support of Cuba’s struggle against Washington’s almost 50-year-old financial, commercial and economic blockade against Havana. For his part, Erlington expressed his satisfaction at the current level of bilateral relations and showed interest in further strengthening and expanding these ties. |
