The agreement signed by the Brazilian Justice Minister, Tarso Genro and his Cuban counterpart María Esther Reus encourages the creation of programs to prevent and to stamp out drug trafficking. Under the new agreement, both countries will exchange notary information, citizen registries, criminal records, technique and proceedings. Luiz Fernando Correa, Brazilian police chief and Pascual Rodríguez, Major General and chief of the Cuban nacional police signed a letter of intent to strengthen cooperation against organized crime.
