LAST HOURS IN VENEZUELA Very early in the morning, Chávez arrived where Raúl was staying to accompany him on his trip from Caracas to the Simón Bolívar international airport. Just a few hours had just passed since the work meeting between the delegations finished, where presidents also participated. At the Venezuelan airport, Raúl was honored by a guard of honour from the different sections of the Bolivarian Armed Forces. A military band also played the Cuban and Venezuelan anthems. Cuban vice-president of the Council of State, Esteban Lazo Hernández, was also there, on his way at the helm of the delegation representing Cuba in the World Conference of Peoples on Climatic Changes and the Rights of the Mother Land to be held in Bolivia. Accompanying him were the chief of the Cuban mission in Venezuela and the ambassador to Venezuela Rogelio Polanco Fuentes. Chávez said good bye to each member of the Cuban delegation, which was made up of Revolution commander Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, Vicepresident of the Cuban Council of State and Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas Ruíz, Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodríguez among other officials.
