Venezuelan and Cuban diplomats in Antigua and Barbuda commemorate the bicentennial of the independence of Venezuela


ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA, April 19, 2010 .- A wreath was laid at the statue of Simon Bolivar, hero of the independence of Venezuela, in commemoration of the bicentennial of its independence at a primary school which bears his name.

The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Javier López Morillo of Venezuela and Cuban Ambassador Jose Manuel Inclán Embade as well as officials from both embassies in this country.

In addition to its historical significance, the event served to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between Cuba and Venezuela in their struggle for Latin American integration and the ALBA as a mechanism to materialize it. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Antigua and Barbuda).
