Chancellor of the University of the West Indies stresses interest in having closer relationship with the University of Havana. JAMAICA, December 22, 2010.- This Wednesday, December 22, Dr. Gordon Shirley, Chancellor of the University of the West Indies (UWI, Mona Campus), was welcomed by Ambassador Yuri Gala Lopez at the Cuban diplomatic mission in this country. During the friendly meeting held between them, Dr. Shirley ratified UWI’s interest to continue to work towards the strengthening of the links with the University of Havana, on the basis of the areas identified in the Memorandum of Understanding signed early this year.
