Important global epidemiological surveillance network valids Cuban program and risk analysis in this area. BARBADOS, December 5, 2010.- The 7th Meeting of the Caribbean Working Group on Epidemiology which part of the "Caribbean Animal Health Network (CaribVET) recognized the effectiveness of the Cuban territorial methodology of risk analysis and surveillance implementing by the National Center Health (CENSA) and the Institute of Veterinary Medicine (IMV). With the presence of 32 countries, the event was held in Barbados between 1 and 3 December. Were present at the conclave the highest veterinary authorities of several participating countries and regional institutions such as FAO and the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus). Cuban researchers from CENSA, Maria Teresa Frias and Maria Irian Percedo, presented the efforts and achievements of Cuban policy on animal health surveillance and witnessed further validation of the results of the implementation of the Cuban experience in countries like Belize and the Dominican Republic. In one of the breaks, Cuban experts exchanged with the Ambassador of Cuba in Barbados Lissette Pérez Pérez, who gave details of the intense and fruitful discussions within the meeting that approved the introduction of the Cuban experience in all Caribbean countries.
