Prime Minister King is scheduled to meet with the Cuban counterpart and other top Cuban government officials, as well as visit places of social and economic importance. Prime Minister Stephenson King also serves as Saint Lucia’s Finance, Economic Affairs and Planning, and National Development Minister. Saint Lucia is part of the Lesser Antilles, a member of the Caribbean Community or CARICOM, of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, of the Association of Caribbean States and of United Nations. Cuba and Saint Lucia established diplomatic relations on August 23, 1979 and are boosting a fruitful collaboration in such areas as health, sports and civil engineering. (Cubaminrex - RHC) |
