Belize, 8 of February, 2010. With the celebration of the Science Workshop in the districts of Orange Walk and Corozal, the workshop cycle leading to the National in April began this Saturday. In total, 19 presentations were done in free topics, 2of them were made by Belizean professionals that work along with the Cuban medical team. Present in the event were health authorities from the northern region, who congratulated the medical team for their 11 uninterrupted years of service in Belize since the beginning of the Comprehensive Health Program. The conclusions were made by the Ambassador of Cuba to Belize Manuel Rubido, who congratulated the winners and highlighted the quality of the presentations. The work of an important Cuban medical contingent in Haiti after the earthquake suffered by that sister nation was also highlighted. (Cubaminrex- Embacuba Belize.) |
