Kenya-Cuba Friendship Society launches its National Executive Committee KENYA, March 9th, 2010. - Members of the Kenya-Cuba Friendship Society met at the diplomatic Mission of the Island in Nairobi where, before the Cuban Ambassador Julio Cesar Gonzalez Marchante and his team presented their National Committee in charge to organize a large plan of activities to strengthen solidarity during 2010. The Executives expressed their commitment to work without rest to advocate for the lifting of the genocidal blockade imposed by the Government of the United States against Cuba, for the immediate release of the Five Antiterrorist Cuban Fighters unjustly jailed in US prisons and to develop cooperation and friendship among both peoples. The Cuban Ambassador recognized the positive work carried out by the Association in the past, as well as the positive projection of the work to win over diverse sectors of the Kenyan society and its representatives abroad who are well represented in the new National Committee.
