Cuban Ambassador to Grenada Offers Interview on the U.S. Blockade to GIS TV Channel

GRENADA, 13 May 2010.- Cuban Ambassador to Grenada, Ángel Reigosa de la Cruz, gave an update on the U.S. blockade against Cuba in an exclusive interview to GIS TV Channel in Grenada.
Reigosa explained the implications of the blockade against the Cuban people as to commercial and financial relations, not only in the context of bilateral relations but also in terms of Cuba’s relations with other countries.
The Cuban diplomat also pointed out that Washington’s aggressive policy against the island has remained unchanged with Barack Obama administration, despite the changes announced by President Obama during his campaign.
Finally, De la Cruz stated that the blockade is the main obstacle to the economic and social development of the Cuban people as he demanded that it be lifted, since it violates the principles and purposes enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations and International Law.
