Governor- General of Grenada Met with Cuban Ambassador to the Island

Grenada, 30 April 2010. Governor General of Grenada, Carlyle Arnold Glean, received Cuban Ambassador to Grenada, Angel Reigosa de la Cruz, in his residence, with the purpose of reviewing the course of relations between the two nations.

The Governor expressed his gratitude for the friendly assistance offered by Cuba to Grenada for almost 40 years, from which he has personally benefited, since one of his sons studied Civil Engineering on the island. He also pointed out that the “Maurice Bishop” International Airport, built thanks to the Cuban assistance, is a majestic work which Grenadians are all proud to have.

On his part, Reigosa stated that the bonds between both nations are indestructible, as he updated Mr. Glean on the U.S. blockade policy against the island and on the unjust jailing of the Five Cuban Antiterrorists. (Cubaminrex- Embacuba Granada)
