Cuban Delegation Attends AOSIS Ministerial Meeting in Grenada in preparation for the Cancun Summit on Climate Change.
GRENADA, 3 November 2010.- From 1 -2 November, Grenada hosted the Ministerial Meeting of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) with the purpose of reviewing the current state of negotiations on climate change and the position of small island states, in preparation of the Summit on Climate Change to be held in Cancun, Mexico, in December.
Cuba was represented by Orlando Rey Santos, director for Environment at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) and Pedro Luis Pedroso Cuesta, Deputy Director for Multilateral Affairs at the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
Grenada, the host country of the event, is the current President of the Organization. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Granada)
