Cuba to Participate in International Book Fair of Guadalajara CUBA, November 24, 2010.- Cuba will be represented this year at the International Book Fair of Guadalajara, Mexico, by writers Rafael de Aguila, Ernesto Peña Gonzalez, the winners of the Alejo Carpentier Award in 2010, and Omar Perez, the winner of the Nicolas Guillen Poetry Award 2010. During the event, scheduled from November 27 to December 5, participants will pay tribute to late Cuban poet Fayad Jamis on the 80th anniversary of his birth. The Cuban authors will take part in lectures and round tables to discuss topics related to literature on the island, the Letras Cubanas publishing house announced.
