Cuban Delegation honoring the Victims of the Barbados Crime
BARBADOS, November 3, 2010.- Loaded with solemnity and emotion it was the honor the Cuban Delegation offered to the martyrs of the horrible “Crimen de Barbados”.
With the presence of a numerous Cuba’s friends, members of the organizations of solidarity with the island and of the Association of Cuban Resident and accompanied by the Vice-minister Rogelio Sierra and the Ambassador of Cuba Lissette Perez, Vicepresident Lazo deposited in the base of the monument of marble on the memory of the 73 victims of the attempt, a floral allegoric arrangement to the Cuban flag with a rest in the one that prays " To the martyrs of Barbados - from the People of Cuba ".
Before, Lazo listened memories of that sad day on behalf of barbadians friends attended the ceremony. The Cuban Vice-president expressed to the presents the reasons for which Cuba decided to name on October 6 as " The Day of the Victims of the Terrorism of State ", and the decision of our people to follow forward with the our socialist project.
In turn, for the barbadians, there intervened in a spontaneous way David Comissiong, leader of the " People Empowermet Party ", who in emotive remarks remembered that the people of Barbados feels identified with the fight of the Cuban people, for the freedom of “The Five” and who in addition recalled that it was Barbados point on a large scale of Cuban soldiers when in the 70 they were fighting for the independence of Angola in the South of Africa.
