Cuban Ambassador Updates Grenadian Women on the U.S. blockade

GRENADA, 22 October 2010.- Ángel Reigosa de la Cruz, Cuban Ambassador to Grenada, updated members of the Grenada National Organization of Women (GNOW) on the effects of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.

The Grenadian women were briefed in detail on the effects of this aggressive policy of the United States in all the sectors of the Cuban population and particularly women.

Bernadette Bartholomew, President of GNOW, stated that her organization is interested in strengthening its relations with the Cuban Women Federation in order to foster some kind of exchange with them. 

The meeting saw the documentary film “Ode to the Revolution”, which shows highlights of the the history of the Cuban Revolution.

GNOW groups 13 women’s organizations in Grenada and has the objective of fighting for women’s equality and equity. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Granada)
