GRENADA, 21 October 2010. - Vyra MacQueen, former Ambassador of Grenada to Cuba demanded the lifting of the U.S. blockade against Cuba, at an interview to GIS channel.

The also Trade Union leader  explained the negative impact on the Cuban people of this aggressive policy launched by the United States against the island for over 50 years; as she assured that Cuba has resisted and will resist for as long as this economic warfare lasts.

Vyra McQueen also mentioned that the U.S. government uses as a pretext to launch its anti-Cuban policy, the alleged lack of democracy and respect for human rights on the island, but at the same time, its actions cause scarcities in the Cuban population for which such actions are a violation of the right to have normal development. 
Vyra MacQueen is also member of the Grenada-Cuba Friendship Association. (Cubaminrex – Embacuba Granada)
