Panamanian Foreign Minister set to arrive in Cuba Wednesday PANAMA, November 17, 2010.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama, Juan Carlos Varela, will start on Wednesday an official visit to Cuba in order to boost diplomatic, political cooperation links between both countries. Varela's agenda includes a tribute ceremony to Cuba's national hero, José Martí, and a meeting with his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez, to exchange views on issues of bilateral interest. Panamanian Foreign Minister is expected to assess issues related to the Political Consultation Mechanism Panama-Cuba, and review the bilateral legal framework currently in force. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
