3rd Ministerial Meeting Cuba-CARICOM kicks off in Havana. CUBA, September 17, 2010.- The governments of Cuba and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will discuss Friday in this capital cooperation mechanisms that will expand the integration of the Cuban archipelago with this region. At the meeting, the third in eight years, Foreign Ministers from the CARICOM member countries, will review the progress in relations within this geographic area, particularly the cooperation in education, health, energy and agriculture. Also participants will review the environment and sustainable development issue and the high levels of cooperation between Cuba and that community of States, a source reported. This will be an opportunity to analyse where we are and set goals for the future, the source said. CARICOM comprises Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago, in addition to the Island Montserrat, and was founded in 1973.
