Humberto Rivero Rosario, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, met with Ambassador Luis Fernando Andrade Falla, Secretary General of the ACS

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, November 9, 2009.- Newly appointed Ambassador of Cuba to Trinidad and Tobago, H.E. Humberto Rivero Rosario presented his Letter of Credence, as Permanent Representative of Cuba to the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) to the Secretary General of the Organization, Ambassador Luis Fernando Andrade Falla.
They discussed a broad range of issues of mutual interest to strengthen the integration process and cooperation in the Greater Caribbean. Ambassador Andrade also used the opportunity to update the Cuban Ambassador on recent developments in the ACS focal areas of Trade, Transport, Sustainable Tourism and Disaster Risk Reduction, as well as the Caribbean Sea Commission.
Ambassador Rivero reiterated to the Secretary General of the ACS the position of the Cuban Government to continue supporting the Association and its strengthening, and to work towards this purposes. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Trinidad and Tobago)
