Minister of Health of Trinidad and Tobago Meets Cuban Ambassador
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, 22 June 2010.- Senator Mrs. Therese Baptiste-Cornely, Minister of Health of Trinidad and Tobago, received yesterday morning the Cuban Ambassador to this sister island, Humberto Rivero Rosario.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the Cuban cooperation in this sector, which comprises 115 health personnel and on the prospects for the development of new projects.
The Cuban Ambassador took the opportunity to convey his congratulations to the Minister for her new appointment, as well as the willingness of the Cuban Government to further strengthen the cooperation in this area.
The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Sandra Jones, Permanent Secretary and other officials of the Ministry of Health.
