St. Lucian Graduates Praise Cuba’s Educational System

ST. LUCIA, 6 April, 2011.- Last Saturday Caius Mauricette, Michael King, Vivian R. Henry, who studied in Cuba, along with the President of the Saint Lucia–Cuba Solidarity Association, Bro. Rawle Harvey, participated in a one-hour program on Caribbean Harmony Radio 107.9 FM, which is consolidating as a space of solidarity with Cuba, and spoke in glowing terms of the Cuban educational system.

They said that the Cuban Educational System creates a totally rounded person and this they had very high praise for.  They gave some of their life experiences which were sometimes challenging.  However, they thanked the Government and people of Cuba for giving them the opportunity to receive this education, which they would not have otherwise afforded.

Also, the President of the Saint Lucia–Cuba Solidarity Association highlighted this group’s activities, including the upcoming Second Quarterly General Meeting, which would be held in Babonneau on Sunday 17th April, 2011. Likewise, he highlighted the upcoming excursions to Cuba, indicating that the April–May trip was full, but the Medical Excursion from July 17th to 24th is now receiving bookings.
