Cuban Ambassador to Laos met Minister of Commerce and Industry
In a friendly and cordial atmosphere, the Cuban diplomat and the Lao minister talked about the bilateral relations between the two countries, especially those related to the economic and commercial issues. Both of them referred widely to the perspectives of strengthening the cooperation ties and the will of both governments to expand the cooperation. At this moment, Cuba has a medical team working in Huaphan province, located at the northeast of Laos, well known for being the stronghold of the Lao revolutionary movement in its historic struggle for liberation. In Vientiane, Cuba is cooperating in the fields of sports with one athletics trainer, and in education with a professor teaching Spanish language at the National University of Laos. Besides, the cooperation in education comprises around 40 Lao youngsters that are studying in Cuba. (Cubaminrex/Embacuba Laos)
