President Raúl Castro Heads Cuban Delegation to IV Summit Cuba-CARICOM  in Trinidad and Tobago

HAVANA,  December 7, 2011.- Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, presides over the Cuban delegation to the IV Summit Cuba-CARICOM, to be celebrated tomorrow December 8th, in Port Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

This mechanism for political, economic and cooperation exchange at the highest level between the Community of Caribbean States and Cuba, was created on December 8, 2002, in Havana, during the 30th anniversary of the stablishment of diplomatic relations of
Cuba with Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. This Summit occurs every three years.

The Cuban delegation to the event is also composed by Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, Vice President of the Council of State, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment.

Prior to the Summit, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz will carry out an official visit to Trinidad and Tobago, following an invitation by the Prime Minister of that Caribbean nation, Kamla Persad-Bissessar. (Cubaminrex)
