A leading Jamaican newspaper publishes article based on an interview granted by Cuban Foreign Minister.
JAMAICA, December 12th, 2010.- The leading newspaper The Observer, distributed nationwide, published this Wednesday an article based on an exclusive interview granted by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla on the occasion of his recent official visit to Jamaica (12-14 December). This press interview took place last December 13 at the Cuban Ambassador’s residence.
In such article, the cooperation Cuba offers to other countries of the South, despite the economic impact the U.S. blockade has had, is highlighted. In this respect, the article mentions that Cuba has been honoring its compromises as it regards to the training of doctors from Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in relation to the literacy programs and the Miracle Operation Project. Likewise, it also mentions Cuba’s development in the area of human resource development, which allows for the export of services to other countries.
