Ambassador Humberto Rivero visits national TV station of Trinidad and Tobago. TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, February 25, 2011.- Humberto Rivero Rosario, Cuban Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, visited the headquarter of the State-Owned Caribbean New Media Group (CNMG) The Ambassador, who went accompany by the Minister Counsellor of the Cuban Embassy Mrs. Ana Silvia Rodríguez, met with Mrs. Charmaine Chan Sing, CNMG's Head of programming. Both parties exchange views on the possibility to sign a cooperation agreement between CNMG and the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), so both countries could learn more about each other. The Embassador made reference to the Caribbean Festival, to take place in Santiago de Cuba next July and pointed out that this edition will be dedicated to Trinidad and Tobago. In that sense the Ambassador invited CNMG to participate in the Festival. During the visit Mrs. Chan Sing toured the Cubans visitors around the TV and the radio studios, journalists' offices, production suites and broadcasting workshops. The Caribbean New Media operates three radio stations 100.1, Next 99.1 and "Talk City 91.1", as well as a television station CNMG TV. (Cubaminrex-Trinidad y Tobago)
