Cuban experts takes part in ECLAC´s Work Session on the Review of the Economics of Climate Change TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, February 21, 2011. Dr. Juan Llanes Regueiro, Director of the Center of Studies of the Environment of the University of Havana together with Dr. Ramón Martín, Professor of the Faculty of Tourism of the same University participated, last 18th of February, in a meeting of the initiative entitled: "A review of the economics of climate change on the Caribbean". Cuban experts have been engaged with other consultants from the region to conduct assessments of the economic impacts of climate change on key sectors of Caribbean economies and to quantify these impacts as well as adaptive and mitigative strategies to address these effects.
