Antigua and Barbuda Commemorates Bicentennial of the Independence of Venezuela.

ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA, July 5, 2011.- At the headquarters of the Venezuelan Institute for Hispanic education sponsored by the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in this country held the commemoration of the bicentennial of the independence of Venezuela.

This activity within the series of celebrations for the historic day was chaired by Mr. Javier Lopez Murillo Venezuelan Ambassador to the island and was attended by officials from the embassies of Cuba and Venezuela, a representation of Cuban collaborators in Antigua, Cuba and Venezuelan Antiguan residents as well as students of the Venezuelan Institute of Cooperation.

Songs, poems, congratulations to President Chavez and the Venezuelan people qualified this activity of special importance for Latin American and Caribbean peoples to unite in defense of sovereignty and independence. (Cubaminrex - Embacuba Antigua and Barbuda)
