 Raul Castro Sees Lula Da Silva Off at Airport.
HAVANA, Cuba, June 2, 2011.- Cuba’s President Raul Castro saw Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva off this Thursday at Havana’s Jose Marti International Airport after a two-day visit of Brazil’s former president to Cuba.
In brief statements to the press, Raul reaffirmed that relations between Cuba and Brazil remain excellent and commented on the importance of the upcoming creation on July 5 in Caracas of the Community of Latin
American and Caribbean States (CELAC), says a report on the Cuban National News. Lula da Silva said to be satisfied with the results of his visit to the island and stressed that he will continue working for the further strengthening of bonds between both nations.
The Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla was also at the airport to see Lula da Silva off. (Cubaminrex-ACN)
