Ambassador of Cuba holds in Barbados, an exciting encounter with students on the occasion of International Women´s Day.

BARBADOS, March 13, 2011. Invited by the renowned Calypso singer Anthony "Mighty Gabby, the Ambassador of Cuba, Lissette Perez, held a lively meeting with a group of students and teachers of elementary school" Saint Paul "in the populous neighborhood “Wildey” in the heart of this small island.

Gabby, who teaches music and choir at the school as part of a governmental program that spans several educational institutions, pleasantly surprised the representative of Cuba, where a choral group of about 20 animated and excited children sang songs of local repertoire, some with clear expression of anti-colonial feeling.

The Ambassador answered questions from the children, who were interested in learning about children in Cuba and other issues regarding  the culture of our country.

"Gabby" explained to the Ambassador program features cultural and narrated to the audience episodes taught during his experiences in Cuba and concluded:

"Cuba, the sister island of Cuba, deserves our respect and support in the fight against the policy U.S. criminal blockade imposed."

By the end, in a truly brotherly "Gabby" and his students performed verses of the famous "Guantanamera" and cheered Cuba and the Cuban people.
