Cuban Ambassador in Trinidad and Tobago appears in a television programme.

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, March 11, 2011.- The Cuban Ambassador to this island, Humberto Rivero Rosario, appeared today on the popular show “Morning Edition” of the Trinitarian television channel CCNTV6.

Interviewed by the journalist Fazeer Mohammed, the Ambassador provided extensive information on the 31st Edition of the Caribbean Festival, that this year will be dedicated to Trinidad and Tobago.

The Caribbean Festival, organized every year in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba, will take place from the 3rd to the 9th of July of this year.

During the interview a spot on the Festival was broadcasted through which Trinitarians viewers could appreciate the different activities that take place during the Festival.
While recognizing the richness of the Trinitarian popular culture where African roots are blended, with Indian, European, Latin, among others roots, the Ambassador expressed its belief that a representative delegation of this “Caribbean Mix” will delight the people from Santiago and the rest of the delegations present in the event with samples of calypso, soca, chutney, steel pan and of course the world famous Trinitarian carnivals.  (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Trinidad y Tobago)
