Important Cuban Delegation Arrives in Jamaica to Attend Event Organized by the World Council of Churches JAMAICA, May 19, 2011.- This Tuesday, May 17, an important Cuban delegation arrived in Kingston to attend the International Ecumenical Convocation for Peace, which is being held from 18th to 24th May, at the University of the West Indies (Mona Campus). The event is organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC). The delegation is also made up of various ecumenical leaders, among them, Rev. Daniel Izquierdo, from the Presbyterian-Reformed Church of Cuba; Rev. Noel Fernández, a retired Baptist pastor with responsibility in the WCC (program for the physically impaired); Mrs. Omara Nolla, who works in the World Prayer Committee for Peace, and other religious personalities as well as comrades Adriana Perez O´Connor and Olga Salanueva Arango, wives of Gerardo Hernández and René González, two of the Five Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly imprisoned in U.S. jails.
