Barbadian  Major Newspaper Delivery Plaque, Commemorating the 35th Anniversary of the Crime against the Cuban Airliner off the Coast of Barbados

noticias_diario_NATION_cuba_20111006A_Página_1BARBADOS, October 13, 2011.- The President and CEO of the "The Nation" newspaper, the largest circulation in the country delivered in a ceremony to Wilfredo Perez Rodriguez, son of the pilot of Flight CU 455, and the Cuban and Venezuelan Ambassadors a beautiful commemorative plaque remembering when the people of Barbados came to the rescue of potential victims of sabotage in which 73 people lost their lives 35 years ago.

The plaque included collage of photos taken by newspaper reporters at that time. Wilfredo Perez Rodriguez thanked on behalf of other family members of victims. Both ambassadors praised the gesture and publicly denounced the U.S. double standards in its policy "terrorism" to keep the Cuban Five prisoners while protecting Luis Posada Carriles.
