Cuba is gearing up its cultural performance to the XVI International Cultural Festival in Bahamas

BAHAMAS, September 14, 2011. - At a press conference at the Bahamas Financial Service, Janet Johnson Chairman of the International Cultural Festival revealed details about the multi-cultural event scheduled for October 22 and 23, at the Botanical Gardens.
The International Cultural Festival grew out of the idea to recognize United Nations Day, during which foreign nationals would organize themselves in a setting to display their culture and heritage.
Under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, the event will showcase the diverse culture of countries around the world from natives living in The Bahamas, highlighted Ms Johnson.
Cuba won “the best in Show” trophy and the first place of the Festival last year, but this year The Bahamas is coming to claim it, said, very happy, Ms Johnson during the press conference at this morning.
Mirurgia Hernandez on behalf of the Association of Cuban resident in Bahamas talked about the prize for the trophy to the press, “Cuba is gearing up its cultural performance at this moment.  We are working very hard nowadays because we want to win once against the great trophy this year. Maybe, someone in this room should be long-suffering on this competition, comented Ms. Hernandez” (Cubaminex/Embacuba Bahamas)
