CUBA, September 7, 2011.- Bolivia’s President Evo Morales sent a message of condolence to the Cuban people and government for the death last Saturday of Army Corps General Julio Casas Regueiro. In a letter addressed to President Raul Castro, Morales said Casas Regueiro’s death is an irreparable loss and he extended his sympathies to the relatives of the deceased general, who passed away at 75 from a heart failure.alt The book of condolence at the Cuban embassy in Bolivia was signed by the diplomatic corps accredited in the capital La Paz, by members of solidarity organizations and by Cuban internationalist workers in that sister Latin American nation. In related news, members of the Political Bureau of the People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola and solidarity organizations in that African country regretted the death Casas Regueiro, Cuban minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces. And in Colombia, the Camilo Cienfuegos Solidarity Organization also sent its condolences for the death of the outstanding Cuban general. In a message sent from the city of Medellin, the group says that its members join the mourning declared by the Cuban government and reiterate their friendship to all relatives and all Cubans close to such a great man and revolutionary.
