South African Minister of Defence, Veterans Sign Book of Condolences after the Passing of his Cuban Counterpart SOUTH AFRICA, September 5, 2011.- The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans of South Africa, Hon. Mrs. Lindiwe Sisulu signed the Book of Condolences opened at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in this capital on the occasion of the passing away of the Army Corps General and Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the Cuba, Julio Casas Regueiro. The Minister visited the Cuban Diplomatic Mission to convey the sorrow of her government for the death of the outstanding freedom fighter and leader. Minister Sisulu presented to the Cuban Ambassador, Angel Villa a message of support on her behalf to be sent to the relatives of the deceased. Both Ministers had meet in Havana last April, when the Mrs. Sisulu visited Cuba to attend the Military Parade organized to commemorate the 50 Anniversary of the Cuban victory in Bay of Pigs.
