Cubans and Trinidadians celebrate the 53 Anniversary of the Revolution" TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, January 5, 2012.- With the pride of accomplishment; the honor of representing Cuba and its people; and conscious of giving their best to the people of Trinidad and Tobago, the Cuban medical and sport professionals, along with members of the Cuban Embassy, Cuban residents, nationals of Trinidad and Tobago who graduated in Cuba, members of Solidarity Organizations with Cuba and friends celebrated the 53 Anniversary of the Triumph of the glorious Cuban Revolution. The festivities began on the afternoon of December 31st with dancing and singing, made way for the political event at 8 p.m., which was used to share the results of the emulation of the Medical Brigade. In his speech, the Cuban Ambassador took the opportunity to congratulate the members of 3rd Medical Brigade that will conclude its work in February 2012, for the outstanding work done and urged the new doctors and nurses of the 4th Brigade to work to maintain the reputation achieved and continue to provide excellent services to the people of Trinidad and Tobago. He also reminded all the heroes and martyrs who gave their lives during the revolutionary struggles to give the people of Cuba their true independence. Friends from Trinidad and Tobago were thanked for their solidarity offered all these years and urged them to continue fighting alongside the Cubans for the lifting of the blockade and the freedom of the five Cuban heroes. With tears of joy, the National Anthem was sung at twelve o'clock and all present cheered on mambí, Cuba, Fidel, Raul and the revolution. (Cubaminrex/Embacuba Trinidad and Tobago) |
