Toronto Celebrates the 54 Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution

TORONTO, CANADA, January 23, 2012.- The 54th Anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban revolution was celebrated with jubilee on the night of Friday January 20th at the General Consulate of Cuba in Toronto. In the event, which featured the presence of Consuls General of Latin America, Africa and Europe accredited in Toronto and the leader of the Communist Party of Canada, Miguel Figueroa, the co-Chair of the Canadian network of solidarity with Cuba (Canadian Network on Cuba), Elizabeth Hill, spoke as well as representatives of the Cuban residents Association "Juan Gualberto Gómez" and the Solidarity Network of Latin America and the Caribbean, both organizations with headquarters in Toronto. The Cuban Consul General Jorge Soberon gave the concluding remarks. After the presentation of fragments of the 
documentary "Moments with Fidel", the participants had the opportunity to enjoy a warm atmosphere of solidarity and friendship with Cuba and its Revolution.
