Raúl Castro Meets with Brazilian President

HAVANA, February 1st, 2012.- Army General Raúl Castro ruz, President of the Council of States and Ministers, met Tuesday morning with H.E. Dilma Roussef, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, who is in an official visit to Cuba.

During the meeting, both mandataries exchanged on the excellent situation of the bilateral relations, highlighted the importance of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to face the challenges of the countries of the region, and dialogued about issues of international interest.

Brazilian President was accompanied by Antonio de Aguiar Patriota, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Marco Aurelio García, Special Advisor to the President; and, José Eduardo Martins Felicio, Ambassador to Cuba.  Cuban First Vice President of the Council of State and Ministers, José Ramón Machado Ventura; Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Carlos Zamora Rodríguez, Ambassador to Brazil, were accompanying President Raúl.
