Students from the Cuban Ballet School share experiences with young South African dancers
SUDÁFRICA, March 1st-, 2010. - A professor and two students from the National Ballet School of Cuba, are currently participating in ballet workshops and auditions in South Africa. The two young dancers will perform alongside South Africans in “Somebody to love” and “Celebration” that will be presenting during the month of March by the Mzansi Productions Company.
Cuban professor, Ms. Elena Cangas, and the two students are also participated in the selection of future ballet dancers during their visits to primary schools in disadvantaged communities in Johannesburg where the Mzansi Production’s Co. does community work to give the opportunity of dancing to children studying in public schools that can’t afford specialized studies.
This is the second time Cuban ballet dancers visit South Africa, after a successful tour in 2009 by a group of students from the Cuban Ballet School. (Cubaminrex - EmbaCuba Sudáfrica)
