CUBA, August 6th, 2010.- Mexican news agency Notimex and the Cuban News Agency ACN signed a collaboration agreement Friday in Havana for the exchange of news and editorial services.
Notimex and ACN’s General Directors Sergio Uzeta Murcio and Esteban Rairez Alonso, respectively, signed the agreement that will allow the exchange of graphic, radio and text services between the two agencies.
Murcio said the deal is very important because it will increase journalistic cooperation with Cuba and open up new horizons for his agency in particular in Latin America and the Caribbean regarding the exchange of products and services.
ACN’s top representative stressed the need to continue strengthen the information flow between Cuba and Mexico and therefore contribute to fostering Latin American unity and greater flow.
After the signing of the agreement, the directors talked widely about the services, programs and future projects of their respective agencies and Murcio visited the different departments of ACN headquarters.
The Mexican news agency has a staff of more than 300 journalists and offices across the country and in 31 cities in 26 nations. (Cubaminrex - ACN)
