Cuba Cooperates with Mexico in Organization of Upcoming Pan Am Games.

CUBA, February 11th, 2011.- A group of 13 Cuban advisors are currently cooperating with Mexican sports authorities in the organization of the upcoming Pan American Games scheduled for later this year (October 14-30) in the city of Guadalajara, in the state of Jalisco.

One of the Cuban specialists, Guillermo Stakemann, head of the technical commission of the Cuban Hockey Federation, said via internet that the sports facilities that will be used are nearing completion.

Regarding the hockey facility, he noted that the only thing left is the installation in May of the synthetic field by Forbes.

The group of Cuban sports advisors is comprised of specialists in cycling, artistic gymnastics, badminton, nautical sports in open waters, athletics, baseball and international relations.

The governor of Jalisco and head of the Guadalajara 2011 Pan Am Games Organizing Committee, Emilio Gonzalez Marquez, visited Cuba last November
for the signing of a cooperation and assistance agreement with Cuban sports technicians. (Cubaminrex – ACN)
