Cuban Science Professionals Carry Out Miracle Mission in Ecuador.

CUBA, March 1st, 2011.- Cuban professionals of the Miracle mission in Ecuador carried out their fourth tour in the three ophthalmology centers of Ecuador, where they have performed free operations on more than 100 thousand patients.

Sources from the Cuban embassy said that the medical mission focused on the indigenous population and low-income Ecuadorian citizens.

According to the World Health Organization, in 2008, there were more than 70 thousand blind people in Ecuador, many of whom have recuperated their vision thanks to the Cuban doctors. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
