Founding of the first Association of Spanish teachers in Saint Lucia.

SAINT LUCIA, February 14, 2011.- With the presence of the Ambassadors of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Mexico and Cuba, the founding of the first Association of Spanish teachers in Saint Lucia was held today February 14th. More than 60 Teachers of our mother tongue, educating at secondary level gathered for the occasion, summoned by Leonard Robinson, the Official responsible for the promotion of Foreign Languages in the Ministry of Education on the island. The Ambassadors welcomed the initiative which allows, not only the promotion of our language but also of our cultures, history and idiosyncrasies. From this initiative, a new field of exchange opens up with the Saint Lucian people.
