New group of Cuban health specialists arrives in Jamaica.

JAMAICA, May 5, 2011.- A new group of 16 Cuban health specialists arrived in Jamaica to join the medical brigade that renders services in this sister Caribbean nation.

The contingent of new health professionals was welcomed at the international airport by the Chief of the Cuban State Mission, Ambassador, Yuri Gala Lopez, Dr. Caridad Carbo, Head of the Medical Brigade and comrade Yaima Gonzalez, Third secretary at the Cuban Embassy. High-ranking officials of the Ministry of Health of Jamaica were also present.

In his welcoming remarks, both the officials from the Ministry of Health of Jamaica and the Cuban Ambassador highlighted the importance of the work that the Cuban Medical Brigade has been carrying out in the framework of the implementation of the relevant bilateral cooperation agreement.
