Cuban Ambassador hands Credentials to Indian President

INDIA, September 26 , 2007.- New Cuban Ambassador to India, Miguel Angel Ramirez Ramos , presented his credentials to President Pratibha Patil at a ceremony in New Delhi,sources from the Cuban mission said.

Pratibha Patil, the first woman who occupies the country's top post, referred to the long standing friendly relations between both nations and expressed her willingness to strengthen them even more.

For his part, Ramirez Ramos said to be assuming this mission with the commitment to contribute to further enrich bilateral, multilateral links existing between India and Cuba, particularly within the Non Aligned Movement. (Cubaminrex-PL)
