Cuba Names UN Diplomat

CUBA, September 2, 2009. Cuba's Council of State has designated Pedro Nuñez Mosquera as ambassador to the United Nations, according to an official note published by Granma daily on Wednesday.

At the moment of his designation, Mosquera was serving as ambassador to Brazil. He is member of a group of 40 Cubans recently named for the diplomatic post in Latin American, Asian, African, and Asian countries, as well as international entities.
